Introduction

Curatorial Exhibitions provides host venues and their audiences with an array of programming that supports diversity and cultural enrichment in the arts. Our exhibitions feature a broad variety of media and genre, from modern and contemporary art to film and emerging media, with a focus on innovation. We are invested in exploring the intersection of visual arts, science, film and technology, to promote the crossover of knowledge.

We are constantly diversifying our content, towards presenting a wide range of viewpoints, and responding to the demands of the audiences worldwide. In particular, the vast majority of our offerings give prominence to the lens-based art that allows for democratization of arts and accessibility for manifold audiences and communities.

Case Studies

Our exhibitions explore a wide variety of themes including history and memory, culture and counterculture, political, social and climate issues, human condition, health and different abilities of persons. We are passionate about highlighting underrepresented artists and communities in the art world, ranging from women to LGBTQ+, Indigenous, and Central and South American art; supporting counter histories and examining cross-cultural perspectives.

Venues

Curatorial Exhibitions is a collaborating organization. We believe that partnerships with other institutions produce the most fruitful results and that through the thoughtful sharing of resources we can most effectively maximize our common outreach and educational goals. Working together we are responding to the latest trends and contributing to expanding curatorial practices.

  • “Pictures of a strange and unfamiliar place with problems that are disturbingly similar to ours in the States: environmental degradation and habitat destruction, racism, injustice and inequality, and a tendency to get lost in a dream.”

NJArts on “Under a Southern Star”

  • “'Children of Grass' is an enriching and visually stimulating anthology that will enchant and win over lovers of both poetry and photography. There is wit and glimmer and ironic smirk in the photographs of B.A. Van Sise.”

F-Stop Magazine on “Children of Grass”

  • “'Circle of Truth' redefines what ‘immersive’ can mean. Following the numbers on the walls feels like you're going on a scavenger hunt or putting together a puzzle that's challenging, but not impossible, to solve.”

Jeffrey Edalatpour, Metroactive on “Circle of Truth”

  • “The astonishing images in This Empty World deliver the emotional shock rarely felt, but urgently needed, to accelerate global conservation.”

E.O. Wilson, biologist and naturalist, on “This Empty World: Photographs by Nick Brandt”
